Professor Fiona Stanley formally opened the Commissioner for Children and Young People WA - Michelle Scott’s, new office in Subiaco. Professor Stanley is the founding Director of the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research, Australian of the Year 2003 and a vocal advocate for the needs of children and their families.

As part of the opening ceremony Michelle Scott, 12 year old Jack one of the children involved in decorating the office and Professor Stanley were all inked by Inky Feet to create a commemorative plaque of the Hand in Hand event.
