Inky Feet began in 2004 when Gene and I had our first child and just prior to making the difficult decision to return to work, we found out we had another little fellow on the way. So pregnant with Number 2 we ploughed ahead with our new business venture. Inky Feet is now creating affordable, hand crafted keepsakes for parents all over Australia and is also giving families an opportunity to find their work/life balance with a genuine, family-friendly, home based business.

Franchising the business was always considered the best way to promote such a hands-on service to a broader market so early in 2007 Inky Feet Wembley opened its doors and Sheila and Andrew Keens, along with their 2 young daughters devoted a room in their home to the Franchise. Later in 2007, franchisees were also appointed in Qld, NSW, VIC and 2 more in the Perth Metro area.

Today, we still operate the original Kardinya Franchise and the addition of other home based studios has contributed to the overwhelming growth of the distinctive Inky Feet brand.
